Tree Lighting Ceremonies on the Coast
Ahh, it’s a special time of the year, isn’t it? If it’s your jam to gather with others folks in the community for your annual tree lighting ceremony, then check out the times and locations nearest you!
- Douglas – Saturday 11/27/21 – Beery Field (5:30pm)
- Glenn – Circle of Lights Ceremony 2021 – CANCELLED
- Holland – Parade of Lights – Tuesday 11/30 (6:30)
- Saugatuck – Friday 11/26/21 – Wick’s Park on Water Street. (3-6pm, tree lighting at 5pm)
- South Haven – Friday 11/26 downtown (see below) (5:30pm)
- St. Joseph – Tree Lighting Ceremony Friday Dec. 3 – Corner of Broad and Lake Boulevard (St. Joe HS choir at 6, tree lighting at 6:30)
- Zeeland – Monday 11/29 Tree lighting Ceremony + Parade (6:15)
South Haven Holiday in the Park
Kick off Christmas season and winter (how perfect that we got a little bit of snow to stick last night?) in downtown South Haven at Dyckman Park (546 Phoenix St). The whole family is sure to love the Paws Pets Parade (~4:30), photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and the lighting ceremony (5:30). Also snuggle up with some cookies and hot chocolate (thanks Cookies on Call!).

- Has Heart | 50 states – an exhibit at Saugatuck Center for the Arts where a designer helps tell the stories of Veterans using graphic art. [Oct- Dec. 22]
- Mistletoe Market – South Haven Center for the Arts – [Friday – Sunday 11a – 4pm]
- Makers Market at the Box Factory, 1101 Broad Street, St. Joseph [Saturday 10-6p]
- All week through 11/27 – Take and Make Mini Book Key Chain. Ages 11-18 – Herrick District Library, Holland
- Kerkmarkt – Holland’s Outdoor Market – Every Friday and Saturday thru Dec. 11. This Friday enjoy a Handbell Concert! (3pm 11/26)
- Merry Days & Holly Nights – Holland Town Center – Saturday 11-7p -This is an artisan market and also winter event where you can see Santa, make wreaths and ornaments, and enjoy food and drink (food trucks + free hot cocoa and popcorn)
- Pint Sized Trivia at Guardian Brewing Company, Saugatuck. [Every Monday 6-7:30p]
Live Music Saugatuck/Douglas
Remember in 2020 when we couldn’t gather and there was live music, uh, no where to be found? Yes I remember, and it was not fun. Thank God live music is back!
