It’s finally starting to feel like FALL around here on the West Michigan Coast, and we’ve got your top 5 LOCAL events for the weekend (and most of them have to do with FaLL, Y’All. (PS Are you looking for FAMILY friendly events! Then check out #1, 2, and 3 in the list below!)
1. Saturday 10/16/21 Fellinlove Farm‘s Tails and Treats, Holland
Come celebrate fall and friendship at Fellinlove Farm through a farm tour, a Not-So -Spooky Trail Walk, boat/kayak/canoe ride and much more!
The 9 dachshunds will be wearing their costumes in the Wiener Wonderland play-yard! AND Tails & Treat to all the different pastures/pens to receive treats from the animals themselves! Wear costumes for extra fun!
COST: $5/person. (This is a donation, but all proceeds go toward the cost of continuing to provide for field trips and events for people of all ages and abilities! Fellinlove Farm is a 501(c)3 Public Charity Non Profit organization.

3. Sunday 10/17/21 at The Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse Preservation Society – Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse Fall Festival (West Olive)
Enjoy: Horse drawn wagon rides thru wooded lanes – (Price is $2 per child and $5 for adults), artisans demonstrating age-old crafts, live music, a silent auction, food truck, baked goods, jams, and roasted chestnuts. Additionally, there will be games for the kiddos plus a storyteller.
Psst! There will also be a raffle for a 65” Visio 4k TV, Royal Gourmet Griddle Top Grill, and an inflatable Kayak/Paddleboard. I’m going to be honest, I might come just for this! Those all sound like amazing prizes – at what a great cause, too!
4. Saturday 10/16/21 6-8 pm – Chef series at Coast 236 Restaurant & Bar, Saugatuck
This is the first of several events in the new dinner series featuring acclaimed Chef Reinhard Barthel, Jr!
The evening’s menu includes six delectable courses prepared by the master chefs paired with six wines by Sommelier Mindy Trafman. The intimate event is limited to 40 guests, at $130 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made online at coast236.com.
5. Sunday 10/17/21 Watercolor with Dori at Urban Garage Market, 12-2 (Benton Harbor)
Raise your hand if you just need an outlet for those creative juices to flow! Me!! Well don’t delay, and sign up to be a part of this watercolor class where you’ll paint the St. Joe lighthouse and learn some technique along the way. How fun! Materials are included!
